Directed by John Landis, who also gave us “Blues Brothers”, starring many great actors like Sylvester Stallone, Ornella Muti, Marisa Tomei, Don Ameche, Tim Curry, Chazz Palminteri and Kirk Douglas. This is one of the funniest movies Stallone was ever involved in, next to Rambo. It’s about Angelo “Snaps” Provolone (Sylvester) who made his dying father (Kirk) a promise on his deathbed: he would leave the world of crime and become an honest businessman. Snaps tries to keep his promise, but of course many things just go wrong. I like that the story is set in the 1930s, and this movie reminded me that Stallone actually can act and not only shoot. He is faced with numerous problems: henchmen who know nothing but crime (Chazz wants to kill someone all the time), the police who are convinced he is hatching a master plan, and Oscar, who has just got his daughter pregnant! A remake that’s just as good as the original film, a rare case, which is btw from 1967 with Louis de Funès. “Oscar” is hilarious, there isn’t a one single actor who doesn’t play good in this movie and if you like comedy’s, you will love this one!

Plot:

It’s the weird and wonderful as newly engaged couple Brad and Janet encounter a problem when they car halts in the rain. They both look for contact only to find themselves at the castle of Dr. Frank-N-Furter a transvestite. A place to stay is offered, but will Brad and Janet want to remain there? Especially when a large group of Transylvanians dance to the ‘Time Warp’, Dr. Frank-N-Furter builds his own man and a whole host of participation for the audience to enjoy.
