Plot:

A film directed by John Huston, written by Arthur Miller and starring Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe, Thelma Ritter, Montgomery Clift and Eli Wallach.

The actors were also “Misfits” in real life, so they probably had no problems finding themselves in their roles. The writing is pretty good (sometimes I had the feeling Miller wrote what he really thought about his then-wife Monroe), the acting was good too, but still this movie was no success at the box office. The film is arid, depressing, slow and yet, riveting, funny and mesmerizing. “The Misfits” should be seen for a variety of reasons but to see Gable and Monroe sharing a black and white screen a short time before their deaths is an experience on itself.

Plot:

Roslyn divorces Ray in Reno and then meets widower Guido. He likes her but introduces her to cowboy Gay, and those two fall in love. When she learns that Gay, Guido and Perce are going to turn wild horses (“misfits”) into dog food, she protests.

Plot:
