In this movie you can see a young Jon Cryer, Molly Ringwald and Harry Dean Stanton, which is great already, but you also get the story of a poor girl that has to choose between the affections of her doting childhood sweetheart and a rich but sensitive playboy.

Plot:

Young Andie is one of the not-so-popular girls in high school. She usually hangs out with her friends Iona or Duckie. Duckie has always had a crush on her, but now she has met a new guy from school, Blane. He’s one of the rich and popular guys but can the two worlds meet?

John Hughes made a very iconic film about five teenagers who are assigned detention on a Saturday. They are a jock (Emilio Estevez), a hood (Judd Nelson), a rich girl (Molly Ringwald), a geek (Anthony Michael Hall) and a basket case (Ally Sheedy). During the course of the detention (and with a little help from marijuana) they open up and talk and begin to know each other.

Plot:

They were five students with nothing in common, faced with spending a Saturday detention together in their high school library. At 7 a.m., they had nothing to say, but by 4 p.m., they had bared their souls to each other and become good friends. To the outside world they were simply the Jock, the Brain, the Criminal, the Princess and the Kook, but to each other, they would always be the Breakfast Club.
